FANTOMAS- Delirium Cordia
Delirium Cordia is an almost always fatal infection of the ear drum that extends into the brain. Scientists have yet to discover the source of this enigmatic illness. Some argue it is a virus, others suggest it is passed genetically. First symptoms include uncontrollable head banging and generalized jerky body movements, with occasional dissociative episodes. Victims of Delirium Cordia report feeling overcome with nervous energy, flashes of thoughtful revere and an urge to supplicate to a mysterious figure known as “Fantomas.” Scientists have yet to provide a rational explanation for this surprising schizophrenic-like symptom. Hours of study have failed to uncover any mention of “Fantomas” in the history of know diseases. One research attempt involved the close observation of patients receiving treatment for Delirium Cordia. Along with the symptoms already mentioned, hospital staff reported patients wandering around the infectious diseases ward quietly muttering to themselves, “Patton, Patton, Patton….” The medical community remains stupefied by this mysterious “Patton” and “Fantomas.” Available Sept 9th.
