Even when not a Jedi, Ewan Macgregor is super dreamy. Normally, I would be very excited to read that Ewan has agreed to return to his native Scotland to star in a film with fellow oddball actor Tilda Swinton. Normally. But under these circumstances, it’s the soundtrack to their latest film, Young Adam directed by David Mackenzie, that has me rather thrilled. Get this—members of Mogwai, Belle and Sebastian, Appendix Out, Future Pilot AKA and others are lead through some mellow noir compositions by Talking Head honcho David Byrne. Released on Thrill Jockey, this record is supreme music for the weak hours! Stop by for a serene listen. Available Sept 9th.
