This thing is so overdue that we were beginning to wonder and, frankly, worry. But as the old adage goes, good things are worth the wait. A cliché? Yes. Also true? Yes. The Fathers serve it up right and well: cool, somewhat jazzy instrumental music with lots of air and verve. At times they're melodically a little like Tristeza, that San Diego based unit, except better and more alive and cooler and humbler and ultimately more pleasant to listen to.
